Soul Food Spaces is a registered charity based in North East England (charity number 1157868) which was set up in 2014 by a small group of friends who wanted to make a difference to people in the local area.

We saw that many people in our communities are hungry; physically hungry for food, emotionally hungry for love and spiritually hungry for meaning and a sense of higher purpose in their lives. Many experience just one of these areas of hunger, others more than one, some all of them.

Through charitable donations and practical help we seek to create and support places and activities where people can be fed and in turn feed one another to find acceptance, connection, meaning and community – these are Soul Food Spaces.
